Unbased plastisol inks are not opaque. Ink colors will vary depending on garment color and blend.
Soft Hand inks are not opaque. Ink colors will vary depending on garment color and blend.
Chino inks are not opaque. Ink colors will vary depending on garment color and blend.
Plastisol
This is a plastic-based ink that is made for apparel. Plastisol inks lay directly on top of the t-shirt fabric, covering the top with a layer of ink.
Soft Hand
Soft Hand is a water based ink that bleaches the t-shirt fabric and deposits pigment in one step. We mix plastisol with an additive. Soft Hand works best on cotton fibers and cannot achieve a pantone match.
*Wash shirts prior to wear. White discharge may be tinted the most by fabric colors. Don’t expect reprints to be exactly the same. Not ideal for poly or poly blends.
Chino
Chino is and additive that softens regular plastisol. It can be mixed in any Pantone color and is more transparent than its straight plastisol counterpart. Chino inks hold detailed artwork well. It is softer than plastisol and is comparable to discharge.

Gusset/Seam Prints
We do not recommend printing on or over seams/gussets because of the cracking and pooling of ink the seams/gussets create when printed on or over. If a garment has a side seam, we will proof the art 1” from the seam printing the logo on the front side of the shirt.
NOTE: Not all garments have gusset seams. Please consult your sales rep before ordering gusset or side prints.
