"We absolutely get the best service from Grandstand. Since we started our glass promotion 8 years ago we have purchased more than 200,000 glasses and never did we have to stop our promotion because Grandstand could not get the order out in time. Grandstand has gone out of there way to make sure our glasses always arrive on time. They also do a great job in setting up the shipping."

Herb Dyer
The Bulldog

The Bulldog was founded in 1994 when four locals had an idea to create a beer tavern that really took draft beer seriously. With the help of some really great employees The Bulldog has become one of the best beer taverns anywhere.

Q. How long have each of your locations been up and running?

Bulldog Magazine 15 Years
Lagers 14 Years
Bulldog Canal 5 Years
Bulldog Jackson 2 Years
Bulldog Baton Rouge 1 Year

Q. What makes your location so special to The Bulldog?
We try to go beyond the bar stereotype and operate as a pub. Each location features 50 or more beers on tap. Positive employee attitudes and customers service are our main focus.

Q. How and when did you become interested in draft beer?
I really got interested when we were starting the first Bulldog and wanted to be different from every other bar. We thought by adding 50 draft we would separate ourselves.

Q. What is your selection process for beers on tap?
With so many taps it's usually what can we get. Distributors do not like to bring in more draft as it is just more work for them. We are always working with distributors and brewery's to keep new draft beers coming in.

Q. How often do you introduce new brews?
About once a month on average

Q. Does your line up change with seasonal brews?
Yes, many brewery's are now doing seasonal beers and these will change up to 4 times a year

Q. Have you noticed any trend changes in your popular products with craft beer on the rise?
We try to educate our customers on craft beers. Our most popular sellers are the craft beers.

Q. Wednesday nights at The Bulldog, customers get a free collectable pint glass with every pint they buy. How do you make this event so successful?
Wednesday was a slow night and I wanted something that would be special. At first we thought the cost may be too great, but than soon realized that we are getting continuing advertising from our giveaway glass which in the long run is much cheaper than an ad. It is now our biggest night at all locations and we have glassware with our logo spread across the whole world.

Q. We're always so excited here at Grandstand, to see the new customer designed pint glasses. How does this process come about?
We let customers design glasses and submit the art work online, If we use it we send them a $50 gift certificate. Only about 5% make the cut.

Q. What is one experience you would recommend at The Bulldog?
Come early on any night with friends before it gets too crowded. It is a great atmosphere to socialize and just hang out.

Q. What should people know about The Bulldog that they might not be aware of?
Many people that have never been have said "I do not go to bars" . I will tell them to stop by and just check us out. After they visit they always comment how much they love it and that they had no idea we were more like an English pub which was much more inviting.
